I support the Harvey Solar project in Licking County, Ohio!

Harvey Solar means big economic benefits to the county and township through construction jobs and spending, landowner payments, and annual tax revenue of over $3 million per year for the life of the project! That translates to tens of millions of dollars invested in our local schools and community over the life of the project.

• $2.45 Million annually to local services: 

  • $1.4 Million to Northridge Schools 

  • Over $500,000 to Hartford Township, EMS, Fire, and Road and Bridge 

• $700,000 annually to the Licking County General Fund

Solar farms like Harvey Solar make great neighbors….they’re low profile, clean, and quiet, setback and screened from sight, generate no emissions or odors, and produce home-grown, clean electricity while requiring no costly local services like sewer or water. Importantly, by managing a native grass cover over the project area for decades, Harvey Solar will improve our water quality by reducing runoff of nutrients and pesticides into our local watersheds and allowing the soil to rest and restore its nutrients. And at the end of the project’s life, the equipment will be removed and the land can be returned to agricultural use.
